Setup Criteria

Criteria define what students can be awarded points for. They help establish clear expectations for behavior, academics, sports, and extracurricular activities.

Structure

Categories organize criteria into groups like:

  • Behavior

  • Academics

  • Sports

  • Extracurricular

  • House Events

Individual Criteria within each category specify:

  • What earns points

  • Point values

  • Whether it's positive or negative

Permissions

Managers and Administrators can:

  • Create and edit criteria and categories

  • Set point values

  • Enable or disable criteria

Creating Categories

  1. Go to Settings > Criteria > Categories

  2. Click New Category

  3. Enter:

    • Category name

    • Status (visible or hidden)

  4. Click Save

Creating Criteria

  1. Click New Criteria

  2. Enter:

    • Criteria name

    • Category

    • Point type (Merit/Demerit)

    • Point value

    • Status

  3. Save

Managing Criteria

Adjusting Point Values Modify point values anytime to reflect changing priorities or seasonal focuses.

Disabling Criteria Temporarily disable individual criteria or entire categories when needed.

Best Practices

  • Create criteria that address specific behaviours

  • Set point values appropriate to achievement significance

  • Balance criteria across all categories

  • Train staff on consistent application

  • Review and adjust criteria regularly

  • Positive Peer Interaction (5 points)

  • Leadership (10 points)

  • Responsibility (3 points)

Academics

  • Class Participation (3 points)

  • Assignment Excellence (8 points)

  • Academic Growth (5 points)

House Events

  • House Spirit (5 points)

  • Competition Participation (10 points)
